The Prodigy is perfect for those who don’t have a lot of space. It is easy to set up and maintain, and the Freshwater salt water is easy on your skin and eyes. I’m very happy with that we chose Hot Spring!

Great quality spa. This is our second Hot Springs spa-very dependable, used everyday. Like all the features incorporated in the new model. Dealer Spas Etc was outstanding. Very informative and attentive.

The tub is great, one of the best purchases I ever made. The set up was easy, filling went without a problem. The initial chemical application was also easy. The written material does lack information of keeping the water quality at it's best. There could have been a more thorough explanation of some of the water problems. Also there is a lack of written material on what each of the chemicals provided does. I had to do a bit of trial and error to find the right mix, and am still experimenting. Overall though, the tub is great, and my wife and I enjoy it every day.

I love everything about it!
It kills me that it does not retain the value.
If you buy one use it until the end or you'll loose some of your investment.
I'm a new owner and I love our Hot Springs!
Not sure what prompt others to sale it.

Service calls and high maintenance

Bought the Prodigy in late 2014. Needed multiple service calls for error messages with the salt system and an auto shut off feature (in the middle of a New England winter) in the first year. The dealer offered to REMOVE the salt water system, for which I had already paid a premium. Their service tech said the shut off was my fault for not cleaning the filters, even though we had used it twice a month for 3 months. The next year he said the same thing after I bought and installed new filters and the salt system had stopped working again. More importantly, despite the salt system, he said you still need to add chlorine like a regular hot tub. It is far from the truth that the salt system replaces chlorine and it becomes "maintenance free."

I just drained it and will winterize it for the next owners of my house. Very disappointing.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your spa and that you found water care frustrating. While the system is not designed or advertised as "Maintenance-free," you shouldn't have to add chlorine every day.

This is our 2nd hot tub from hot springs and we like this new one as much and more then our 1st one. They have made maintenance on their tubs so much more easier and that can make a lot of difference. I tell all my friends about hot springs and some come over just to look at ours. You could find some cheaper but not better. Thanks Johnny Russo

We are really enjoying our Hot Spring Prodigy spa. It is a fun spa that has lots of nice features. We especially enjoy the variety of jets because different jets meet different needs on different days. We are also really pleased with the Freshwater Salt System because it generates chlorine automatically, thereby reducing our spa maintenance time. And, of course, we love being able to vary the color of the lighting in the spa (the multicolor setting that automatically changes from one color to another is our favorite).

This is the third Prodigy spa we have owned since 1990. Each one has gotten better. Outback pool and Spa were very accommodating in getting the old spa out and the new one in. Also in showing us how to care for it and set up the salt system. Couldn't be happier.

Just upgraded to a Prodigy from Hot Springs Spa of Albuquerque and love every moment that I am in it. The water is clean, clear, just the right temperature, and always true to test strip levels. Interior lights are calming and the exterior lights are welcoming. I recommend this company not only for the great product but also the service and information that Chris provides whenever I call with questions or visit for products.
