Leaks and more leaks. Overpriced and overrated

We had a few years of enjoyment - until the warranty ran out. When the salt system needed replacement, we opted to avoid that high cost and use regular chemicals. Couldn’t notice any difference. Leaking started around the end of the warranty and we’ve spent a ridiculous amount trying to track it down. Contrary to the response to another review about leaks, the cabinet construction prevents easily tracking down the leaks. Yes, the front panel opens but that’s not where the problem is. This is our third spa and we’ve always liked HotSprings but will look elsewhere based on our experience with both the product AND service, which is poor and hideously expensive. Now waiting for a call from service manager. Not holding my breath.

Leaks and failures after 6 years

My tub is 6.5 years old. The heater failed, then it started to leak. Of course site of the leak is unknown as the panels cannot be removed only cut through and replaced. EXPENSIVE! Now the circulation pump is vibrating and needs replacement. It's becoming one thing after another. While the tub is of value the service is NOT. I can't get by the girls at the desk to get to talk to anyone...all they want to do is charge $150 per time to see what the problem may be. I would not buy another product from Hot Springs again. This is my second spa. First one was a Classic that lasted over 12 years before I caused it to fail.

My husband and I bought a salt water system Hotspring spa and it was the best decision we made. We use it at least 3 times a week. Water care is easy. It is relaxing and a great way to unwind. We love it!

Glad we switched to the salt water sanitation system. It is much better for our skin. We use it every day. So easy to maintain. Best investment for the mind, body and soul.

Loving my new Prodigy!! Had my previous tub for 10 years. The upgrade is beautiful. Love the different jets to stimulate and soothe tired body. Light upgrade is beautiful and practical. One look shows you when temp is ready. Love that you can lock the cover for safety and security. Grateful for the bottom drain to make draining easy. Thank you Hot Springs for continual improvements!

I would have been better buying one from a big box store. Excessively expensive and the water circulation keeps going out. I need to have it removed. Paid $10k and I wish I’d never purchased it.

I have had 4 hot tubs through the years. 2 being Hot Springs. Have a Prodigy for many years now and it is the best ever without doubt. Has been wonderful and the Hot Springs people have been superb from the Sales people to the Techs !! Simply wonderful !

Our Prodigy hot tub leaked right away. Evidently the way it was shipped/stored exposed it to high heat that deformed large jet housings. We had to drain it and wait for repair, which was simply to put silicone caulking under housings and put in new o-ring seals. We were assured this would be a permanent fix. Overall we like the spa but we're obviously disappointed that it required immediate repair and that we had to drain the spa right after getting the water balanced. We're just hoping now the repair will last.

Don't buy, the control panel is a disaster

The controls on the 2022 Prodigy are a really poor attempt at making a touch panel. It just doesn't work at all. Sometimes you try to touch a key and nothing happens, or you need to try 5 to 10 times to get a key to work. Especially the home key is really hard to actually get to do anything. Or if you touch a key, some other key you didn't aim for gets pressed. It gets worse when the panel is wet, which it always will get. This really was a BAD design choice, and takes all the joy out of sitting in the tub. My older Sovereign tub has real buttons, and those just always work. I hope my brand new 2022 Prodigy can be changed back to buttons.

My one problem with it (besides horrible service from Spa and Solar) is the front cover is very difficult to keep up with the clips. My old Hot Springs was much easier to deal with.

When it came time to replace our old sovereign we went right back to hot spring. This time we went with salt. The ease of maintenance is great. I rarely have to use additional chemicals. Also the water seems to be better for our skin.
