Wouldn't be without it!
PostedJuly 30, 2012
This is our second Hot Spring Spa from Olympic Hot Tub in Seattle. The first was a Classic which is no longer made. When we re-did our roof deck, we went with the Prodigy. Have never had a service call in the 8 years we've owned it. The energy use is so low we don't see it on our bill even though we keep it hot all of the time. Easy, easy, easy to care for because the filtration is so good. Love the comfortable seating & perfect jets-not too hard; not too soft. There is absolutely no noise or vibration even though the circulation pump is on 24/7. This is important because we're close to neighbors & didn't want that rumble of pump noise for them and didn't want it for ourselves either! A neighbor 5 doors up the street has another brand that is so loud when the pump comes on that we can't keep our windows open in the summer. All in all the Prodigy's been a fantastic investment for our health and relaxation. Wouldn't be without it and wouldn't trade it for anything. Thanks Hot Spring for making such a great product!

Our 1st one is almost 23 years old and still functioning. We don't heat it, we use it as a "cool pool", for the great grand kids, in the summer.

Prodigy 2011
PostedJuly 8, 2012
I like the improvements since my 1994 model, however, the quality has been disappointing. Problems with Ozone and main control panel so far. Water care is great. Service has been exemplary.

Good morning!
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your HOT SPRING Prodigy model spa. As you have recognized already, you are in great hands with the staff at Coleman’s Bright Ideas for Your Home. This award-winning dealership is known for their prompt, professional services to their customers. Their service team is led by Robert Aguilar. I will be asking that Robert or one of his team contact you regarding your ozone and control panel concerns. If there is anything I might do from the manufacturer’s standpoint, I will be glad to assist as well.
Thank you again for your feedback. We very much appreciate your purchase of a Hot Spring spa and will work to bring your confidence back to how you felt about your original spa.
Best regards, Watkins Consumer Service Center

Service and Quality issues
PostedJune 14, 2012
We purchased the Prodigy Spa from Olympic Hot Tubs in Tacoma, Wa 6 years ago. We did enjoy it for three years with very few problems, only using it about 1-3 times per week. We had owned a Hot Springs tub previously and loved it, but moved within 2 years and left it at the old house. Our new spa had the topside control panel go dead during the second year, and were told by Olympic it was no longer covered under warranty. A service call would cost $300.00 just to look at it! We decided it wasn't worth the cost! Next item that went out was the heater about a year later. Again, called Olympic and they said someone would call us to arrange service. No one called, no one came. Then one year later the electrical components began to fail. I have owned swimming pools and Hot tubs and am meticulous about proper care. This spa simply did not meet the promises and guarantees made by the manufacturer and Olympic Hot Tubs could care less about providing any kind of warranty or out of warranty service. If you plan to purchase this spa, think of it as a disposable investment after the warranty expires!!

The Life of Riley!!
PostedJune 12, 2012
We have owned a Hot Spring Sovereign Spa since 2002 and decided to get a new spa this year. We selected the Prodigy this time and we are very delighted. It has plenty of room and great jets. We feel like we are living "the life of Riley" with our new spa. We use it every morning and every night and it makes us feel wonderful!

The Very Best!
PostedMay 23, 2012
This is our second Hot Springs Spa! When we sold our previous house we included the spa (only because it would have been too difficult to move 2300 miles). We just recently purchased the exact same spa for our new home. We never even considered buying anything other than a Hot Springs Spa. You can spend less but you are not getting anywhere near the same quality as a Hot Springs! We are very happy with our new spa and would highly recommend it to others.

Comfort for all areas of my body! Good depth. Much better than a lot of them. Be sure to SIT it anything you buy!!! Some are too straight and the bottom seat is not wide enough to let you sink down.

This is my second hot tub. My first tub was not a hot spring and did not last 5 years. My friends all bought hot springs but I went with something cheaper and with more features. It seemed like a good idea...OH WELL. My new Hot Spring Prodigy is a joy to maintain. It takes very little chemical and the water stays clean. I love the 2 pump system and that i never hear it cycle or heat. It heats up amazingly fast and is very efficient. I hope this tub will last me for at least the next ten years. it's simplicity makes it seem bulletproof. The Prodigy is the perfect size. Thanks

Amazing Spa
PostedMay 4, 2012
We bought our Prodigy Hot Springs Spa this past winter. We use it 5 or 6 times a week, and absolutely love it! It is comfortable to sit in and has various types of jet combinations that you can use to massage and relax your muscles. It is easy to maintain and care for, although we recommend that you check the water levels twice a week instead of once, especially to keep on top of ph levels. We checked out about a half dozen other spa brands and Hot Springs kept coming out on top in terms of energy efficiency, water quality, workmanship, insulation, design, comfort, value, and ease of use. We love it and look forward to many years of enjoyment!

Glad to be back

We owned a Prodigy back in the 90s. We took the spa across the country to MN and then to NY. It was still going strong when we gave it to our neighbors upon returning to California. We bought a Jacuzzi in 2000 and had nothing but problems starting in year three of ownership. We decided to buy another Prodigy and are extremely happy we did ! It is by far the best spa we have owned.

My second Hot Springs Spa!
PostedApril 30, 2012
Many years go I purchased a Hot Springs spa for the back deck at my house. My wife at the time and I really enjoyed it. We did a lot of research before purchasing a spa. Our spa was wonderful and problem free for many years. In the sumer of 2011 I was having some health issues and my fibromyalgia was really acting up. I decided to purchase a spa. I did not even look at any other brand. I knew I wanted a Hot Springs and that is what I purchased. It meets my expectations completely. I would highly recommend a Hot Springs Spa to anyone. You get what you pay for and they stand behind their product. I use mine almost every day. Try one. Russ

The Tropics Are Now At My House!
PostedApril 27, 2012
It is very comforting to know that all I have to do is open my slider and I'm in the tropics even while living in Vermont! As we get get older and our muscles and bones age, it is nice to soak in the tub and feel young again (even if for a short time). Well worth the money, a true value!

Our 2nd Prodigy
PostedApril 27, 2012
We bought our 1st Prodigy for our 20th anniversary and used it daily in the summer and frequently in the spring, fall and even winter in Ohio. It gave us 15yrs of excellent service. Never a service call. We looked at other models when setting out to replace it and couldn't find anyone we liked better. So we bought another for our 35th anniversary. We look forward to using it on our 50th.

Great Hot Tub - but get a larger one if you can handle it
PostedApril 27, 2012
This is our 7th Hot Springs hot-tub. We've had them in the far reaches of Northern New Hampshire at -38 F - to - Monterrey/Carmel Ca at normal temps - to - Scottsdale at +120 F. They all ran perfectly and maintain easily .... even better than advertised.
The current Prodigy was purchased because our lake home could not get 220-electric service and the Prodigy has a 110/220 option. Great tub - but as a big guy (6'1" / 250), the larger Hot Springs units were more comfortable and the extra depth allowed me to sit up straight and not have 1/2 my chest out-of-water.
Regardless, the Prodigy is all Hot Springs and is a great value if you want/need a smaller tub and/or have electric service limitations as we did. Enjoy .....
