This this is very easy to use (salt water option). The only complaint would be no water feature in the Prodigy but still an expensive set up. Other than that personal preference it has been fantastic.

Let me preface my remarks by saying that my wife and I are experienced hot-tub owners, who use our tub on a daily basis. Our first Hot Springs spa (a Sovereign) was purchased in 1991. We finally replaced that tub in April 2017 with a brand new Prodigy. We considered many different tubs, but we are absolutely thrilled with the choice we made.
When using the tub for therapy, each position in the tub has unique advantages. There is a powerful directional jet in the middle of one of the side walls, which is ideal for the tops of feet, ankles, calves, and thighs. There are two pulsating jets on the opposite side wall, that provide a very gentle soothing massage on the mid back or the bottom of the feet.
There are multiple precision jets in one corner that can provide a very vigorous massage to the low back, neck, shoulders, and ribs. Another corner houses the iconic moto-massage which provides a very realistic massage for the entire back and ribs. It can also massage the arms and the neck, especially when used with the pillow. A third corner seat is intentionally placed higher than the others to provide a cool-down experience, while massaging the low back and mid back.
With the exception of the Jetsetter, the Prodigy is the shallowest of all the High Life models. This means less water to heat, and a better balance of hot water with cool air. The new Prodigy is still 4 inches higher than our old Sovereign, thus requiring a small wooden step for entry.
The Prodigy is ideal for two people when focusing on therapy. It also works fine for four people in a more social situation. The tub is well designed, so that it will not over-flow, even with four adults.
When using the tub at night, there are lights both in the water and on the rim. These lights can be programmed for any color or to change colors continuously. This makes night-time use very appealing.
As experienced hot-tub owners, we did not expect any problems with maintenance. In fact we have been pleasantly surprised at how little chlorine is required by this new tub. We have the standard water cleaning system (no salt). The ozonator is extremely efficient. We also use a silver-ion insert in the filter area. We add less than a t-spoon of chlorine after each daily use. We have never had a PH problem with the tub. We clean the filters about every two weeks with a standard garden hose nozzle.
In summary, the Prodigy is the perfect hydro-therapy tub. We are active people who enjoy skiing, hiking, biking, kayaking, etc. The tub works well with our life-style, providing much needed soothing relief for tired muscles. I cannot imagine being without a hot-tub, and the Prodigy meets all of our hot-tub needs.

17 years and still loving it!

I've had my Prodigy since 2000 and love it! I have it outdoors on a cement slab & my only disappointment is the OSB board under the skirting,which has disintegrated from rainwater splash. Because of this, the Everwood skirting is coming loose in some areas. Marine grade plywood or pressure treated plywood should be part of an otherwise excellent product. Hopefully this issue has been addressed in newer models!
It is a worthwhile investment for fun and hydrotherapy and I have just had to replace the circulation pump, my only major repair expense in 17 years!!! I would choose HotSpring brand anytime & enjoy the service provided by Hallmark Pool and Spa.

I should get paid by Hot Springs!

I have sold more tubs for them by just having folks over and explaining the difference between them and everyone else. I have owned tubs for over 35 years now. Nothing but Hot Springs for the last 25 years. Just turned on my 2016 Prodigy. The new deeper design is Great! I'm 6'8" and can sit up to my neck without slouching!

Our Prodigy Hot Springs is the perfect fit for my wife and I. We had a Grandee for about 20 yers when we had children at home. We traded for the prodigy and it has been perfect for us.

A month in and....

One month since delivery and one jet has quit working. The drain at the bottom of the spa is turning from white to dark brown. Time to get warranty service.
Other than those two things, we like our Prodigy. After we see what happens with our request for warranty service, we'll update/write a new review.

I'm a first time hot tub owner. I bought this brand based on recommendation from a neighbor. It fit just right in our back yard and has been running great. We enjoy the different seats with the different jets that are very therapeutic for back and shoulder problems. So far I have had no problems with this unit.

Second Hot Springs I have owned Excellent Product

I had purchased a Sovereign in 1999. I never had any issues with any part of the spa. Prior to purchasing the new Podigy I researched other spas both on line and at the dealers. None compared with the quality or the appearance. What helped make my decision easier was the sales person's knowledge of the product. There have been many changes since my first spa and all to the good.
My daughter plans on purchasing a spa within the the next few months and it will be a Hot Springs based on my recommendation. I would highly recommend a Hot Springs to anyone planning to purchase a spa.

I've only had for a week but I am very happy with this spa.
Easy to operate and the variety of the jets is very nice. I do my own gardening and it is wonderful on the days I over do, that would be everyday.
