This is my second Hot Spring hot tub. I found that this one is the perfect size for my situation. It's easy to get in and out of as I am aging.

Not as good as our last Sovereign

We got the Sovereign to replace our 15 year old Sovereign. The new spa is significantly smaller. I can't see how you coud fit six adults in this thing. The footwell is significantly smaller -- cannot even stretch my legs and I'm only 5'7". It's not relaxing if I have to sit with my legs bent. The jets are not nearly as strong and you basically can only use them on one side at a time (the full seat or the other side).
It's like the designers never got into the tub itself to try it out. I am extremely disappointed.

OK, but really one person tub...

My wife and I decided to get a new tub when our 14 year old hot springs SX had issues after a long time of trouble free use. We shopped multiple options, but the Sovereign seemed to be the best for our needs, or so we thought. It is a nice spa, why I gave it 2 stars, but VERY limited and deceiving when they say its a 5 person spa. It has one pump and is 220v. We didn't think much of this when we were told this as our SX was one pump, and 110v. It worked great and had 3 seats with jets that all operated fine when on. The Sovereign came and I was so excited.... Mt wife and I got in and quickly realized we had been mislead. This spa will only work the lounge when the "diverter" is selected for it. If myself or my wife wanted to use the lounge, the other gets warm water.... Completely not what I understood from the salesman. We bought another hot springs spa for the motomassage seat our SX had, which I love.... If you divert at all to the other seats, the motomassage will not work at all....Thankfully the dealer acknowledged the issue and worked with us to exchange for a ARIA, which we love... If this tub had 2 pumps, it would be great. The only other note I would make about it is that the hand massage spinner on the right hand side has no room for your hand. You can get your fingers on it, but there is no room for you actual hand to go over the jet. Silly.

Having two Moto Jets is an excellent feature. The jet on the armrest of the lounger is designed to target your wrists, making it a nice option if you use your hands frequently.

I have had my Sovereign hot tut for nearly 10years and it has been by far the best purchase I have ever made! Myself and my family have made the best memories while relaxing in my hot tub, I even bought an inflatable sports car so my sons sausage dog could also join in the fun. I suffer with my back, and my hot tub has been my saving grace! I would 100% recommend.

I purchased my first tub in 2002 and it was great. Only had one issue with a faulty heater which was replaced free of charge under warranty
I wish I could say the same about my second Sovereign . It seems the quality or quality control has gone downhill. Leaks and electrical problems. I would hesitate to recommend this product to anyone. Just called the dealer again for a leak somewhere. Never again!

Salt Water IQ is faulty technology or poorly implemented

This is my 4th hot springs spa over about 30 years. The salt water IQ system simply does not work. It is erratic, sometimes not even close to the test strips. I am extremely disappointed in this new product. No one seems to know exactly why it does not work from Watkins corp. to my dealer. For the price of these tubs now days it is a real disappointment. I am sorry I purchased this brand. They have always been great.

Very nice spa with a few suggestions

We very much like the spa. The therapeutic benefits are great, especially after dark before bedtime. We haven't experienced a winter with it yet and can't wait. As others note, the pump system could be stronger to operate both systems simultaneously. Maybe offer a larger pump as an option? It took a bit to learn the water care but I now have that dialed in and its a twice weekly checkup. We bought it with the IQ system. The system has good potential but isn't very accurate, throwing warnings about chlorine and pH pretty much in the morning, so I use strips and when in doubt a conventional pool analysis kit to verify. I didn't read the prepurchase materials well enough and thought the IQ system was required to run the salt system, which it is not. The salt system is essentially a manual system, which is hands off once you find the sweet spot for your usage. When we have the grandkids over I'll amp it up a bit but otherwise never change it when it's just us. Would I buy it again? Yes, but I'd skip the IQ system until the next generation is out.

MSRP is lower then what I was told by Bend Hot tub? It was a year old thinking I was getting a deal? Well the hot tub is nice. I went with this brand because of Salt water is a lot less maintenance.
I was excited to get the newer technology thinking I would not be using test strips, not only I still need test strips because the new technology is not working, when they came out to fix it, they took my test strips, I asked the tech by text if he took them he never answered kind of tells the story . There repair service was the reason I had to by a new spa, go read there reviews before you buy never fixed under warranty!

We bought the hot tub for therapeutic qualities (massage and relaxation) at the advice of my wife's doctor who provided us a letter so we can make the purchase a medical deduction. The therapy has been excellent: 15 minutes nightly and pain is gone, skin is smooth, and we're sleeping better!

Our Spa is 3 years old and already was leaking g around the light which had to be reached and the lighted sign on the front was coming off and had to be replaced...Now our cover, the center is coming apart. Trying to find the warranty on the cover? Not happy...

The best relaxation and therapy

This is my second Sovereign my first was 2007 this one 2025. I added a salt system and I love it. The new technology and jets is first class. I use it every morning. I couldn’t imagine living without it.

Very underpowered, spa.

To start with, the spa is very underpowered. Something I wish the salesperson had told us before we purchased it. It has a 2 speed 2.5 horsepower. Continuous duty motor which will only power one side of the hot tub at a time. So if someone is using the lounger on one side and someone is setting on the other side in a bench seat, you have to turn somebody's jet off to be able to use it. It will not run both sides at the same time. This would have been a game changer for me if I'd knew that before I purchased it. The installer that came out to set it up, told me this after it was full of water and running. and then told me, I would have to turn the jets on one side or the other, very disappointing.
To spend over $16000 to get this kind of performance. It is embarrassing to have any friends and family members over to use it.

We have had two of these HOt Spring Spas in homes in Michigan and didn't even consider another brand when we moved to Arizona. Excellent quality and service by the team here in Cave Creek. I love to enjoy my hot tub on a daily basis. You cant go wrong with a Hot springs.

Excellent Hot Tub

We were so impressed with the Hot Springs tub we owned at our previous house, we had to buy another for our new house. Quality, comfort, and ease of use are all excellent. The only thing I wish they would add is a Bluetooth monitoring system. But otherwise we are true Hot Springs spa believers!
