Regets!
PostedOctober 7, 2016
I regret ever having purchased any spa other than Hot Springs. Over the years I had always had a Hot Srings. Since 1985 I purchased In And Out ( twice), Prodigy, Soverign and was always delighted with them all. They didn't wear out if that's what you are thinking, it's just with my job I moved around a lot and every time we put our house up for sale, the buyer made it a condition the spa stays. Probably because of the way we bragged about it. It was great to have taken our first In and Out to Alaska with us but again it stayed when we moved back to the lower 48. Our last one was the Soverign with the new water purification system which is just great. In 2008 stocks crashed and caused us to think about a cheaper brand. Big mistake! We miss our Hot Springs spa. My advice is to whover-- stay with a Hot Springs product and never have regrets.

Recently upgraded to the Sovereign hot tub, more for therapeutic reason vs. recreational from what my husband referred to as the over sized bath tub draining his electric bill every winter. Couldn't be happier with our sovereign. While it is a bit more tub than we need for the two of us, the lounger seat in this was the best fit for a female frame and a male frame. That seemed to be the deciding factor for us. The lounger jets for the back have been spot on for my husbands back injuries, Yeay! The corner with multiple mini jets across from foot jet, also great. Ladies who doesn't enjoy a foot massage?? Of course it comes with more bells and whistles that are quite nice, bar lights, water feature with lights all great for entertaining, however more than we need. Purchased from The Hot Tub Store in Oakland,MD. Highly recommend these folks, staff is very knowledgeable on all models, we talked to every body, on multiple visits, asked tons of questions, and they were always informative and helpful. also making more than one visit prior to our purchase to help with specs on site, accommodating our inflexible work schedules. Would definitely refer any one asking where to look at tubs to The Hot Tub Store. Note the only reason I gave energy efficiency a good as opposed to excellent is because we have only had our tub a month or two. we'll see what it does to the electric bill when it is 8* with a wind chill -10!!

We recently bought a new home with this hot springs hot tub as part of the sale. We were originally worried about set up, maintenance and expenses. We had a friend that currently owns a hot tub come over and show us how to set up and use it. He could not believe what great shape the tub was in.
Even though it is a bit older model it runs and looks brand new. Our next tub will certainly be another hot springs tub with some updated features of course!

love my hot springs spa
PostedSeptember 4, 2016
have a 1996 model Sovereign Hot Springs spa , which we purchased used in 2000--very energy efficient-- easy to adjust the chemicals (bromine), and .so far, no mechanical repairs to heater, nor circulating pump ,did have a serious leak,2years ago,put some RV antifreeze in it and stored it for a year--then this year i repaired a couple of possible leak areas(moto-massager chamber ,and around outer edge of light lens) with Plast-Aid plastic repair,Currently spa is up and running--good as new !!! LOVE MY HOT SPRINGS SPA== SHARON 69---HARVARD, IL.

Doesn't live up to the hype
PostedAugust 26, 2016
This is my first spa. Went to a local store the salesman went on and on about Hotsprings spas. He went into detail on the quality of the build and the ACE saltwater system. We decided to purchase the spa and the ACE system. After reading reviews that were very bad on the ACE system I cancelled it. The spa itself has been ok. After the install it was the electrician who showed me how to balance the chemicals. Needless to say that didn't work very well. It's been a struggle to get the water balanced. The spa is comfortable but the Moro massager doesn't work unless you direct all of the water pressure to,that side. The other jets work well. Customer service from the dealer (Watsons) and from Hotsprings has been pretty bad. Watsons has been terrible. I will never buy there again.

Thank you for letting us know about your spa experience. While water chemistry can take some getting use to; I would like to make sure that you have all that you need to be successful in it. The ACE salt system is use effectively in many homes however, water care is a personal choice and I would be happy to review your options together. You are correct, the Moto Massage will only work with the diverter valve completely turned to on to that jet. That is how it is designed to work. This jet moves up and down your back and need full pressure to operate properly. I look forward in work with you soon please look for an email from me.

Love our Sovereign!
PostedAugust 19, 2016
We get into our Sovereign almost daily! So worth it! I have a bad back and I love all the options (different seat and configurations) and pressure that is applied. My only complaint is that there is one main control so you have to get up to rotate it, so I have to skip around the seats and then change the main and use the other seats. It would be nice if each seat had its own control. Also, I find it weird that when you're in the hot tub the control panel is upside down. It's make more sense if it was facing the inside of the tub. Other than that, we are very satisfied.

This spa has been wonderful for the last 12 years. It sits out on the deck and we use it year round. We had to replace the cover 2x. Then we got a heavy solar shield and that has helped. However, it may have been hit by lightening 2 days ago, so we are having it looked at today. We may need to replace it. Not sure what to buy now. At a loss(:

Had a new garage built and a room built for a spa in the garage, bought a Sovereign after looking for years. The salt system was a big plus, the owner salesman was great, his recommendations I took and am just trilled. I use the spa at 6:00 am 12:00 and night. Timer set for one hour each time. My wife is here too. 3 months now and no problems, the moisture in the air is something, but vent it out after covering. Seeing in side, no cold air problem, no dust, bugs, cleaning the cover - switched to foam off and on no need for the complete cover in one piece. Mutch nicer to clean now. The big French doors inside and the big garage door - vent fan and its drys out everything right now. Leaving the cover off leads to moisture problem but the cost to run can't tell on my electrical bill so far. So very pleased with everything and feel like a little piece of Heaven is here.

Do NOT get the "free" ACE system
PostedAugust 7, 2016
My spa is wonderful but the ACE water care system has been a nightmare. I have already had to change cells in less than 2 months because the system will not produce its own chlorine. I'm on cell number 2 and have the same problem. I wish I had never gotten the ACE system and just done chlorine from the start because that is basically what I an doing now. I have to check my system daily, I am constantly putting chemicals in the spa, and running to the pool store at least once a week for testing. The ACE system was free with purchase but now I wish I had the option to have money off my spa instead of the system because all I am doing is buying chemicals to try and get the system to work! When the year warranty is up on the system I WILL be removing it if not before then...I have been a pool owner for years and have never had this much problems! The spa itself is fabulous and I do not regret purchasing it. We use it daily and it definitely helps with sore muscles, aches and pains, etc. I suggest anyone buying a new spa refuse the "free" ACE system and just go with a chlorine system from the start because you will spend more money and more time trying to get the system to work then just going with chlorine system.

I still have over 2 years on my warrenty and an underwater light fixture is leaking, the service people have been totally un professional ie, it takes more than a month to get service and they cannot seem to fix the problem? I was told my heater was bad by one guy and the next guy said it was ok? I called in a complaint to Califorinia and they have not followed up. My brother has leak problems also with his Vanguard and has not got a fixed in more than 60 days. HELP

Perfect Fit
PostedJuly 22, 2016
We have had it for a month. At 80" by 93" the Sovereign allowes us to fit it on our upper deck and allow plenty of room to enter the dining room. Im glad we put it on the upper deck It is so nice to be able to step out and jump in ,we enjoy it at least six time a week. You can control the jets to pin point where you need the pressure the most and seems to be very efficient. Feels like we are on vacation every time we use it. One of the best purchases we ever made.

Therapy
PostedJune 30, 2016
Besides being a beautiful, well functioning spa, I bought the Hot Spring Sovereign spa for the therapy jets. I have dealt with fibromyalgia for many years and I don't know of a better at home therapy than sitting in my spa at least once a day. I start every morning in the spa and feel even better if I end the day that way. The moist heat is best for helping to release the tight muscles and the therapy jets are so good at working on the especially painful trigger points. I love my spa and don't ever want to be without it.

!3 year old Sovereign
PostedJune 4, 2016
Bought a Sovereign 13 years ago and love it. We live at 7,400 feet in pretty harsh conditions and it's held up great. The wind ripped the cover and lifter off once so used Gorilla glue and longer screws to put it back together. Finally replaced the cover last year but everything else works fine. Thinking of selling this house and will probably have to leave it here but will definitely buy another one.
