Purchase Hot Springs Vanguard tub from Jack Oliver Pools and Spas in Columbia, SC this was an excellent transaction from installation to initial service. Have used it every night for the past week and the plan is to continue to do so for years to come.

As someone dealing with Psoriatic Arthritis and a former ice hockey official, my body is pretty tore up and this spa really helps my aching joints including my spine. I also have 5 herniated discs in my spine that really cause me a lot of pain, but the hot water really calms everything down. I'm so pleased to have purchased it!

Very effective therapeutic investment

My wife has developed some chronic pain in her lower back the chiropractors and other spine adjustment approaches were not successful with. Our Vanguard spa has been very effective in the deep tissue massage on her back and shoulders -- absolutely worth the investment after a month of use.

Our Hot Spring spa is the best way to unwind and relax after a long day. You can let the cares of the world melt away in the warm jets. Also perfect for the cold ND winters!

Best Purchase of Our Married Life

Before my wife and I were even engaged, we worked in a Hot Springs Spa showroom. While working there, (she was going to college at the time) we got engaged, then the showroom moved to another city.
The owner said whenever we were ready to buy a Hot Springs Spa, he would give us a good deal. Ten years later, I called him up and told him we were ready to purchase. He held true to his word and delivered a brand new beautiful Vangard and installed it.
13 years later, we still use our Hot Springs Spa 3-5 times a week. Never had a problem and so easy to maintain. (Crystal clear water and still looks new!)
That is why I claim this our best purchase of our married life.

Our Vanguard is Great!

This is our second Hot Springs hot tub. Our first was bought in 2000 and we just let it go last month. We loved the tub but wanted to switch to something a bit smaller with a maintenance free outside. We replaced it with the Vanguard. We couldn't be happier. There is nothing better after a stressful day than to relax in this tub. It is comfortable and the jets hit the right spots! The maintenance is so easy that this choice was not difficult to make. Hot Springs are quality tubs.

We loved our local dealer lake air Pool Supply Waco Texas Really love this fall it seems to be great quality. The pillows work very well they do not float off-white reviews of other brands. The control panel is very user-friendly the Jets are very powerful and soothing. We upgraded to the integrated stereo and love it it has a very good sound quality. Cabinet construction seems to be very nice much better than the old wood cabinets Construction. The only thing on the small that we think could use some work are the steps going into the spa it needs either a lower first step or a second step down into the tub with the Vanguard model.

Love our Vanguard Hot Tub - detailed review

We have had our Vanguard hot tub for a month and are very happy with our purchase and the experience we had purchasing it from Northstar in Middletown, NY. They were very professional and accommodating from the wet test to the delivery. Our advice when purchasing a hot tub is to go with the biggest tub you have room for and can afford. The Vanguard has 6 seats and we have found that we have our favorite seats but move from seat to seat enjoying all the jets each has to offer. Also we would recommend going for a wet test. The tub we thought we would go with, the Prodigy (much cheaper and seats 5) was comfortable for the two of us but felt a little too small if we had more than just us in it. It didn't have as much leg room and not as many thrills, (jets,etc.) The Vanguard has two moto-message chairs. I am 5 foot 2 inches tall and find them too deep. In order to be comfortable in them, I have found I sit on the edge of the seat or on my feet. We went with the mocha cabinet and desert shell which we are pleased with both. The advantages of the desert shell are: it's not shiny or as slippery and we were told it doesn't show the scratches as much. The Vanguard has 38 jets. We have found that when we get in, we enjoy just sitting in the tub without any jets on enjoying the sounds of the outdoors, the warmth of the water and each other's company. (If we turn all the jets on, it practically blows me out of the water.) When purchasing a hot tub, keep in mind that besides the purchase of the tub, you have taxes, delivery fee, cost of a cover, cost of a licensed electrician, and the cost to put a cement slab or a deck in that can hold the tub with the weight of the water in it. We suggest getting more than one estimate. The price of the electrician will depend on many factors: how far they will need to run the cables from the electrical box to the tub, if they need to dig a trench for the cables in your lawn, etc. We put the cement slab in ourselves. (I would not suggest doing it unless you enjoy DIY projects), Since we have only had the tub for a month, we really do not know the efficiency of the tub yet. We rated it excellent because we didn't know if by not rating it, our overall rating would be poor and didn't want to take that chance. Each night when we get in, we can't believe it's ours. It is a luxury to have and to us is priceless. I know this review is a little lengthy but hoping it helps someone make the best decision for them. Happy tubbing!

My wife and I have had the vanguard model for almost a year now and it was the best purchase we have made. There is nothing like coming home after a hard day and relaxing in the hot tub. It has been very easy to maintain and hasn't cost to much to run. Our only regret was not getting the sound system.

Massage is great, but only one person at a time. Heater circuit could have been increased to a 30 amp circuit, wire size increased of #10 then. Overall pleased with hydrotherapy treatment.. I wished there was a medical code for unit. My insurance would have covered most of cost.surface is slippery, higher tub not easy in and out.
