Best thing we've ever bought for ourselves! We both have back issues..and using our tub at least every other day...keeps us feeling great!!! Wish we could have one years ago!!

We really liked the aspect of full filtration of the water at all times. But the quality of the tub has only been average. After a year and a half we have had bar top lights replaced and a broken fitting replaced under warranty but we had to pay for the service calls. The tub does not control the temperature very well and is frequently 3 to 4 degrees too hot. Hot Spring has not been accommodating at all with this problem refusing to address it. For the money and the hype about their quality I expected better.

My wife and I purchased the Vanguard hot tub in Oct of '11. At first it was like having installed a pool... everything was new and everyone (grandchildren) wanted to be included every time the cover was raised. However, as the newness wore off I found that a glass of wine relaxing in the warm water was emerging as the most ideal way to enjoy the hot tub... especially if the full moon was out. We have stereo and TV capabilities available which expands the enjoyment to all hours of the day. I personally favor the late nights under the moon... all is quiet and looking into the skies has a way of detaching oneself from reality. My all time once in a while experience was sitting in the hot tub while it was snowing... you have to live it to appreciate the experience

Our spa is awesome. We love it!!!! The guys at Hot Springs Spa in Riverside, California are the best as well. We use it everyday and wouldn't have it any other way.

This spa is very high quality and easy to maintain. It's very comfortable for 4 people and while there is seating for 6, the leg area for 6 adults would be very tight. We love the variety of jets that hit all the different areas of the body and the ability to adjust the jets. Also, the lighting at night looks awesome. Before we bought our spa a year ago, we looked at cheaper spas and they can't compare to the Hot Springs spas!

What a bad decision this was on my part

Purchased this hot tub in August of 2011 at a cost of nearly 12,000.00 and so far what an ugly experience. Bought the tub from Dederdings in Kearney, Ne. Have had problems with the ozinator, one of the drain plugs leaked and one of the motomassagers has quit and it is early April. The leak I fixed myself fortunately. When the massage quit the dealer came and fixed it. No charge for the part but I had to pay mileage for 32miles of the 57 mile trip to Oxford. This was at a cost of 2.50 per mile. My Brother in law currently has 3 semi's and has a freight rate of 1.75 per mile and pays all his bills and makes a living and the trucks get 4-5 MPG. I paid 84.00 for mileage and at their rate I paid for the driver labor, all his driving time and their gas. What a deal,I would expect something to be done by the manufacturer but really doubt that will happen.

We bought the spa about 8 months ago, after the one we had died. What a difference with the new spa. Easy care, energy efficient and the jets are great. The salt system almost maintains itself. I have added salt a couple of times, but still using the bottle that came with the tub.

I bought my Vangaurd about 2 months ago and I am vey happy with my purchase! I am writing a review because the reviews, I have read lead me to this spa. I love that all 5 seats have a different types of jet patterns deep and shallow and a cool down bench, which was on my must have list. The lights are great, but wish the additional lighs had the dimmer option! I have not noticed much difference in the utility bill and we use it everyday! I also chose Hot spring because of the salt water option, I have a salt water pool and love the ease of care and no chlorine smell :)!
The easy lift cover is must option in my opinion + it also adds privacy if you are in a urban area. The only other thing that I could recommend to the designers is to add temp gauge on the control in the tub. I think I got what I paid for! I hope this helpls on your decision making!

Vanguard hot tub

We bought our hot tub about 8 years ago. Having alot of arthritis pain, I use the hot tub 2 to 3 times a day, even throughout the winter. My son says he is surprised at how much I use it, even after all this time. It works great! The jets are strong and powerful,its economical to keep and maintain. Support staff at the Boise Snake River Pool and Spa are great for answering questions anytime we need help. This is one of the best purchases we have ever made. M. Kahn

You can't go wrong with Hot Spring

My family and I purchased a used Hot Spring Classic which has been since replaced by the Vanguard. The seating and jet options are very similar. I have not had any issues with the tub other than replacing the spa's cover in 5 years, the tub is 13 years old. I would highly recomend anyone interested in a spa to purchase the Hot Spring Vanguard. Energy efficiency is excellent. The tub has plenty of room for my wife, my 4 year old daughter who loves to use it as a pool and myself.

I have a 2005 Vanguard. I didn't want the lounger and I loved the Moto Massage, which is why we went with this model. 7 years in, still amazing. I'm close to upgrading to the new Vanguard though. Gotta have a sound system as well. Amazing tub!

We had purchased a hot spring spa and had it over 25 years- worked great for many years. After 25 years we replaced it with a different brand spa that we saw at our state fair. As soon as we got in the spa we noticed the jets had only about half the power of the hot spring spa. My husband and I both were disappointed . During the winter months our electric bill soared while heating this other brand spa. Needless to say we sold the spa within months and went for another hot spring spa. The jets have lots of power and our electrical usage is minimal. We are definitely sold on hot springs spa and would never try another brand.

I would never buy one again

We have had nothing but problems with our spa. I think that if you can get a .lemon, we got it....
First the lights went out. They still aren't right.
Then the water feature. That works intermittently. we make a service call and then it works....I think there is a faulty computer chip or ?
Now the ozone didn't work and made the call for service, and this morning after being off for 4 days it is working and the water feature too.
So all that to say for the money we have spent, we are working way to hard to keep this thing in shape.
We have never owned a spa before and bought this brand on recommendation.....never again.

I love my Vanguard. It is so nice to sit in it with the family, or just relax by myself and read. The water care is simple and easy. My water is always clear. I grew up with a Sovereign and wanted a spa that was a little deeper. The Vanguard prefectly fits the bill.
