I love my spa from Hot Springs. I have waited for years, saving to purchase one, and I am so happy I did. It is my own little oasis at the end of every day.

Nice Spa but Power Reset Problems

I hand my Vanguard Spa installed on 11-20-12.
3 weeks later I was outside and I noticed the power light blinking and it was in PROTECTION MODE.

Thinking it might be dirty filters, I cleaned the filters.
3weeks later it went into PROTECTION MODE again. The Coleman Ft Worth Tx office thought it might be a bad control panel on top, so they replaced that.

I also installed brand new filters this time instead of cleaning the others.
2 weeks later I was actually in the tub and was getting out and noticed the tub had gone into PROTECTION MODE a 3rd time.
Coleman Ft Worth came over a 3rd time and couldn't find any problem that they could see.

So in 2 months, the spa has reset 3 times. I did get online and read that Hot Springs has had some heater control board issues, this could be the problem.
I would be very careful when considering Hot Springs. Do your research before hand.
Hopefully the Coleman Ft Worth office can come up with a fix.

This is our second Hot Spring Spa and we are even more satisfied than before. Our previous Hot spring spa/tub was over 10 years old and is still in great working condition. In fact it is still providing extended family with many more years of enjoyment! Hot Springs provides the best quality, features, service and warranty in the busuness!

This is my second post on my vanguard hot tub, I just got out of my hot tub from relaxing and treating my stiff neck! It is 20 degrees out here in MA and my tub is at 102. My hot tub maintains the temp that you set it at even in use! I have not tried other hot spring models but have friends that have the Grandee and the prodigy. After inspecting their tubs, I am pleased that I picked the Vanguard because of the lay out, every seat has a completely different massage style. The cool down bench is also a huge plus because it seconds as a step in and out. This is my second winter with my tub and I have had no problems other than the light wheel needed to be calibrated after the first month, which the dealer fixed ASAP. I rarely write reviews but always purchase products based off of reviews. I am very pleased with the purchase of my Vanguard and would suggest this layout in a tub. Good luck with your new tub!

Why did we wait so long?

We live in Northern California and somehow missed the Hot Tub Craze of the 1980s. My wife and I just got our Vanguard late last summer (2012) and are now wondering why we waited so long. It is so comfortable, relaxing and refreshing that we've become daily users. It has transformed a portion of our backyard to a very welcoming spot.
We keep our spa at 103 and - honestly - have not seen a change in our monthly electric bill. We were very skeptical when the sales people at our spa dealer told us that it might increase our bill by only $15-20 per month. Other spa owners we know who have older technology told us to expect a big hit, but we haven't seen it.
Care could not be easier - we went with the ACE system that somehow magically generates chlorine out of salt, and I spend an average of five minutes a week on maintenance. I simply dip a test strip into the water, generally finding that everything is spot-on, then clean the filters about every three months. Your mileage may vary.
We have altered the time of daily use with the seasons, with night time summer and fall soaks now replaced with morning sessions in our mild winter climate. We had a gazebo built over our spa, and it is tons of fun to sit in the spa, soaking up relaxing hot water, when it is pouring down rain - and the colder the air temperature, the better! The pounding rain mixes well with the sound of the water massaging our backs and legs. Soaking right before bedtime is amazing - I haven't slept so soundly in years.
So my only concern now is - why the heck did I wait so long to enjoy my Hot Springs Spa?

My wife and I enjoy sitting in the hot tub in the evening after a long day at work to relax and talk. We especially enjoy the hot tub on a snowy evening watching the snow come down.

Had an issue with the control panel, it's ben 5 weeks and still not repaired. They said it takes 4 weeks to get parts. Seems too long. Spa presently is not working, Hopefully it will be repaired next week

Love it! Olympic Hot Tub has always provided great service. It is out o warranty now and we have replaced one electric panel and one moto but it is so worth it. Dont hesitate, buy one!

Our first spa was the Grandee and 30yrs later we had to replace it and compared to our friends who replace theirs about every 5-7 yrs I feel that this speaks for its self as to the quality of Hot Spring Spas and in my opinion none on the market today can compare to this company and its product.

We love our spa! We previously owned a different make which cost us over $100.00 per month to operate. Our HotSprings costs under $25.00 per month. The water is always clear & inviting. It uses very few chemicals to keep it that way. When we have questions, Mike Lady in the Folsom store is always helpful. We love eveything about our spa. Our advise, buy a HotSprings or don't buy a spa!

A Family Tub

We first bought the Vanguard twelve years ago for our own use, but now it has become a favorite of our grandchildren. They spend as much time in the tub as in the pool. We have had three generations in the tub at one time. What a blast.
It has been a wonderful addition to our yard. I was not a fan of adding it to our yard at first, but my wife insisted. She was right!

Except for the shell the tub itself these are great spas. I have owned two of them and they both failed at the end of the tub warranty. I think I will try another brand the next time.
