I purchased the Vanguard and I am so glad I did. I use the tub every evening and has helped me to relax and forget all the drama i have or had during the day. With work and two kids it didn't really leave me to too much spare time but to finish each evening with a relaxing hot tub has now become part of my daily routine. It was my best idea to purchase my hot spring Vanguard from Lex in Brisbane Australia. I am looking forward in five years to swap out this unit and get the next release.
I would highly recommend the Ace Salt water system it makes looking after the spa a enjoyment not a job... when done guys.....

I cannot get over how many visitors to our home compliment the looks of our Vanguard Spa. Beyond that, the value it has added to our physical and mental well being is tremendous. Our neighbors purchased a competitors model within two months of us back in 2006, which has already been replaced due to structural issues. The Vanguard just keeps on satisfying. I love the 0% bypass circulation system that is provided with this spa. You know that all of your water is going to be filtered and cleaned.

I purchased this used from a friend. It is very nice. The control panel located inside the tub gets a poor rating from me. Mine broke after it was only 2 yrs old. The cost has stopped me from replacement of it. It should be under warranty but since I bought it used less than a year old...it is not covered since I was not the original owner. The price I paid for the hot offsets this but still poorly made control panel. The cover has been replaced by my local dealer. Very expensive for what it is.

My wife finally convinced me in 2004 that we should get a spa. We looked at every manufacturer out there, most of which were far less money. We bit the bullet and bought a Vanguard, and it has been one of the best purchases ever. In 2012, I had to replace the main relay board and the filters, but that's it in 9 years. We went looking at a new Vanguard yesterday...I would really like one with the rock exterior, but the one we have is so well made that justifying a new one is going to take a while. If we ever decide to replace the one we have, it will be another Hot Springs.

Never wanted a hot tub, I'm a pool guy, but my wife really wanted it. Well, 14 years later I'm in at least 3 times a week, more in the winter. The routine maintenance couldn't be easier and most people think the unit is only a couple years old.
Everyone else I know with one has replaced their tub by now or had plumbing problems. I’ve seen and heard complaints about fading, leaking, cracking and cabinet failures but I never had any of these. Some I know have replaced their cover every 3-4 years. It also seems to cost me less to run than any of my friends.
I've had 3 service calls, one under warranty (computer board), had the heater replaced and a 30 amp fuse replaced. I also bought a new cover last year by internet order replacing that myself. Otherwise runs like new at minimal expense. Pay the extra up front and enjoy the benefits for years. If this unit finally does fail I’ll be buying a new Hot Springs.

We had our first spa for 20 years. When it needed replacement we looked for the best spa meeting our needs. Hot Springs Spas stood at the top of the pack. It costs more, but worth the higher price. Jets are in the right spots, and are powerful. Upon initial fill, it reached 104 degrees in a few hours. Temp is maintained perfectly. Great filtration system.

This is our second Hot springs Spa. Replaced a Classic after are move. Not one issue with the Classic. Had the Classic for over 10 years. Now 7 months out of warranty we have a board problem. Not heating. This is what are Hot Springs dealer is thinking. They will be looking at the tub tommorow we will know then for sure what the issue is. Just concerned that the quality could not be there as it once was with Hot Springs products. We could understand this if tub was maybe 10 years old or more. Just concerned.

We love the hot tub, but we have the salt water option and it has an annoying little bug. Every 30 days you have to go in and remind the tub that the salt water system is connected or it will stop working correctly. Not a big deal, but they should fix this issue. The dealer says there is no fix.

Bought this tub after going over numerous reviews. Wet tested three different brands, vanguard was our choice. We decided to go with saltwater system, minor problems but think i have it down now. A little higher than anticipated on energy use however we use tub every day and most days two times. I wanted a hot tub to get through the LONG COLD Wisconsin winters my wife kind of just went along. Now she is the one to say want to go in tub, she loves it.

I should have bought a Hotsprings spa 10 years ago

We've only had our spa for about a month and have been using it 2-3 times a week. If I had known how wonderful I would feel after using the spa, I would have bought one 10 years ago.
The selling dealer has been very helpful as I get used to fine tuning the chemicals, but it is very easy to do. The dealer is HealthMate Spas in Greenbrook, NJ.
Overall, I am very happy that I chose to get a Hotsprings spa. I think that the efficiency of a separate circulation pump and quality insulation will minimize ongoing operational expenses, so this spa may end up cheaper to own in the long run eventhough it was not the 'cheapest" brand out there.

I finally purchased a HotSpring Spa when my old Hot-Tub broke down for the last time after 17 years of daily use! The design, craftsmanship & ease of maintenance were the main selling points when I chose my Vanguard! I use my spa first thing in the morning & last thing at night every day of the year, and knowing that "all the water" is being filtered & cleaned "all the time" is very reassuring! The moto-massage jets combined with the neck jets are just amazing! I can feel the tension & stress melt away after just a few moments of use!
I highly recommend the Vanguard to anyone!

I've owned a hot-tub for 17 years and have used it at least twice a day, morning & evening, every day! My old tub finally wore out, so with all that experience & quite a bit of research I chose a Hotspring Vanguard! I couldn't be happier with my choice! The design & finish is impeccable and the operation & maintenance is so quick & easy! The lights are amazing & the jets are like nothing I've ever experienced! I've discovered that it's not the number of jets that matters, rather the effectiveness that really counts! And these jets really measure up, especially the moto-massage seats... unbelievable! (and, If you experience lower back pain, you're going to love this feature) As an experienced spa user I only turn on the jets for a few minutes to ease tension or soothe sore muscles! The most relaxing part of my routine is sitting back and enjoying the peace & quiet while "every drop of water" in my tub is being constantly filtered! I've "wet-tested" several different brands & Hotspring spas are by far the best I've seen!
Fall of 2003, while in So CAL at Disneyland and happen to find an opportunity to purchase our "Vanguard" the most energy efficient best in class tub on the market. We were so impressed with the information about this tub (all of which became true) we had a hitch put on our SUV and rented a trailer drove it home. This is our FIRST Hot Tub and surely our LAST as this one could very well be our last us. Our local guys here in Vacaville, Ca the Martin brothers Tom and Jim are awesome and top notch in customer service. Several of my friends have purchased their best Hot Tub from these guys. I'm writing this review after 10yrs, including moving my tub 4 times (yes it truly is portable, OK you'll need some help and The Hot Tub Store has those resources) and some 1664 times in the hot soothing, bubbling waters, still using my original filters and cover. Although there have been only 3 minor repairs as things don't last forever. With proper care and maintenance there will be thousands more moonlit starrier sky's to gaze into and sunrises to marvel at. All this talk of my Hot Tub has me getten ready to slide in again! *** YES I AM A HOT TUBBER and you can be too***
We made sure to take our Spa with us when we moved from ABQ to Northern VA. Best decision we made during the move. We have had very little trouble with the tub. Needing to replace the cover this year. Other than that, really couldn't imagine living without her. :)

We Made The Right Choice

We bought the Vanguard as a replacement for an 18 year old Classic. It has the same footprint, but is deeper and feels much bigger. It had a problem with the main computer when it arrived, but that was replaced and it has worked well for the past 6 months. We like the flip up cover mechanism. It works easily and also provides a wind/privacy barrier. It is higher than the Classic, so we had to get used to using steps rather than just steping over the side. I have a bad leg, and exclusively use the small step by the filter door.There aren't many other flat surfaces inside the tub to step into. If you are unsteady on your feet, try it before you buy it. A lower hot tub might be better for you. Once you are in the tub it is Heaven! We visited one of our friends that had just purchased another manufacturer's hot tub, and their jet action was wimpy compared to the Hot Springs.

Very therapeutic and relaxing. Have had the spa a little over a week and already feel more relaxed and chronic muscle pain has all but disappeared.
