The salt water system has not worked from day one and has been serviced on multiple occasions. Works for a while then stops. Tub developed a leak in the piping. To make the repair the tub was turned on it's side. Soon after, the salt water system broke again. Now the tub is out of warranty and I cannot express my disappointment enough.

If you're in the market for a high quality, energy efficient spa then let me recommend Hot Springs and the Grandee! It was the largest and deepest spa they offer and as a 'big guy' I feel very comfortable relaxing in it every time I use it. This is not the first spa I've owned and they have earned my business for life.

I bought a Hot Spring Spa and totally have loved every minute of the 8 years I have owned it. I go in every day - 90 or 9 degrees outside, I am always toasty at 104. It is so easy to take care of I have to remind myself I should do something to it. All our friends love it and think of excuses to come to our house. The Grandee fits 7 comfortably and everyone gets the jets of their choice. I love my Hot Springs Spa!!!!!

2nd time around a success

My first Grandee had a lot of problems with the lights, the salt water system and the heater. After several visits from my dealer and working with Hot Springs they replaced my tub. That was over two years ago and I have had no trouble with the exception of the salt water system which we disconnected.
I love my hot springs tub.

We have owned our Grandee for about three years having bought up from an Envoy model. We are very pleased with the Grandee as it has met all our desires in a larger Hot Tub. I would recommend this product for anyone looking for a quality larger Hot Tub. My only concerns after three years of ownership are the use of non stainless steel screws inside the shell of the Tub. Rust streaks are hard to remove from the shell. Before you purchase the Tub make sure you discuss this with the salesperson. Other than that we have had many hours of enjoyment in our Grandee.

It's been about four years since we purchased our hot tub. While the overall quality has been very good, there are a few issues we had since purchase. We bought the tub with the ACE system to avoid continually adding chemicals. For the first year, it worked intermittently then failed. Hot Spring replaced the unit. The second one worked for about a year before the cord from the ACE filter frayed and the system quit working. No replacement this time and an expensive lesson learned. It appears that the water in our area is so hard Hot Spring will no longer guarantee the system and the dealer no longer recommends it. The only other issue was a leak which was fixed by the dealer under warranty. The hot tub has worked great minus those few issues.

Excellent respite from life

The spa has changed our life. Ease in and let your troubles fade away. Just a few minutes of a soothing soak or let the jets work out the knot in you back or shoulder. The fountain and lighting are an added pleasure.
We have a handicapped son that gets great therapeutic benefit from time in the spa.
The unit is relatively maintenance free. Once a week I check the levels and test the water. The spa has a self check feature as well. The company that sold us the spa is always available to answer questions and make recommendations. We are very happy with the spa

I have four very tall boys who absolutely love the tub! All year long the tub gets plenty of use for achy muscles after activities or leisure dips with friends. I like it best when I get to sit in it by myself to relax!

Love the moto jets in this tub. Though water smells bad after a couple days due to waterfall not circulating. Had to have 3 service calls on ot in first two years. But I will say it's a very relaxing tub. Couldn't have one without the moto jets

We purchased our Grandee new in 2010 and couldn't be happier. It gets used at least 3x a week in the winter and at least biweekly during the summer. It has been completely reliable and makes for great family social time! If you're debating a hot tub purchase, I strongly encourage wet testing as not all hot tubs are equal.

Great Hot Tub But Sound Dock fails

This latest Hot Tub with the ACE Salt Water system is the best purchase ever. Reduced the chemicals I am using to keep the water fresh....in fact the water is crystal clear all the time....which lowers my workload. Unfortunately I purchased the Sound System and Sound Dock and my dealer has replaced it 3 times and CANNOT make it work with an IPOD from the sound dock. The dealer (Rocky Mountain Pools and Spas in Calgary) cannot fix my problem and it appears they have given up trying to fix my sound dock problem. I am very unhappy about that.

Buyer beware!

I own my second grandee. The first kept leaking so after a number of years I replaced it. I got conned into believing I just had bad luck so I bought a second grandee. Well, shame on me! In the first year I had s leak which was covered under warranty. A few years later and I now have another leak, and not a small leak. These got tubs are over priced and horrible quality.

I purchased this tub in June of 2014, after it was finally installed, their were several problems with the tub. The remote control pad has failed and been replaced at least 3 times so far, one of the motors failed and was replaced, the salt generator has been replaced, several of the fasteners in the filter area have rusted. Mainly tubs has been great to deal with through this all, but for the money expended for the tub, it has been a disappointment. I would advise choosing a more established, tested and proven model. In my view, their have been enough issues with this "new" tub in the last year, that Hot springs should have replaced it, since all that remains now of the original is one motor.

Grandee - 7 Person Hot Tub is Awful

We have owned our Grandee hot tub and have had nothing but problems with the wireless controller. The original controller did not work and had to be replaced. Then the controls under that was replaced twice. Each time locking up. It locks up weekly in which we need to unscrew the 8 screws in the back and remove the back to reset the spa. The latest excuse is that it requires a software update so it will continue to work. We have received the black screen and looping through searching so many times it is more like the default behavior. Unfortunately when the remote controller is not working there is no way to really control the spa. You can with great force turn on the jets and lights, but that is it. You cannot adjust the temperature or put on the clean cycle. It is not worth the 10K. We have owned hot tubs for over 30 years and this is the first one that has given us so many problems. RUN!!!!

We purchased Hot Springs Grandee in the Summer of 2014 and after waiting for 8 weeks for delivery it finally arrived just in time for the Fall season. We live in south east Pennsylvania and for the past six weeks it has been everything that we have hoped for. This was our first hot tub purchase and we had a hard time deciding which size tub to go with. Overall we are glad we went with the Grandee.
The ordering process was easy and the representative was very knowledgeable. Once we received the hot tub, it was delivered by professionals who understood the product and how it works. We got good training in usage and also tips on how to make our experience better. While we had some concern over our electric bill, the usage has not increased very much. It’s very manageable! The support from the dealer has also been very helpful. Thank you Crystal Pools of Lancaster PA!
The Grandee is a great choice if you plan on entertaining. We have fit up to eight people in the tub at one time. When it’s just the two of us the tub seems overwhelming but we really have enjoyed it so far.
The tub seems to be well made and is easy to maintain and clean. We went with the Ace salt water system and getting the water balanced down has taken some time but once you have it down, it isn’t difficult.
The only downside that we’ve notice was on a cold and windy evening (25 degrees with 10-15 mph winds) during the great early “Polar Vortex of 2014”. Four of us decided to brave the cold and take a dip. The tub was set at 102 when we got in but the heater was not able to maintain the set temperature for very long. We lost two degrees in the first hour and the tub was down to 98 by the time we had to call it a night 45 minutes later. I emailed the dealership and asked them if this was normal and they confirmed on cold windy nights the heater will not keep up. We have tried other cold nights, mid to low 30’s with no wind, and the tub only lost a degree per hour.

Yes, when you have that Vortex weather pattern, it will be difficult for the water heater to keep up, as I have seen water freeze in mid air!! Sounds like it is working as intending and I appreciate your review. The ACE is wonderful when you find that sweet spot and you are right, it can take a little time, but then it works very well and does a great job. Enjoy your hot tub!
