My family loves this hot tub. Has helped with back issues. Only complaint I have is the knob for the waterfall keeps falling off and the filter cover was delivered with many scratches. I received a new cover but the knob still falls off.

Best Bang for the Dollar!

Afer a hard day at work, we rush home to the comfort of our hot tub.
We enjoy the different lighting features to set the mood :)
It relaxes our body and mind so much that it is hard to stay awake.
It is lights-out when we top it off with a nice hot shower and a cold beverage...lol

This is my second hot tub. I previously owned a sun dance spa and it was a disaster, forever leaking and impossible to manage the water. The vista has been great, half the power to run it and far superior jets and comfort. No comparison to my old spa. Wish I'd purchased this the first time around.

Poor Quality of electronic parts

Poor quality on parts. The day I had the tub installed, the main control panel wasn't working and had to be replaced on a brand new tub! My salt cell went bad about 8 months later and had to be replaced. Finally, about one month after that, my ace system started acting up. My salt cell was checked and was working so the repair person left saying all was good but my ace system was still not functioning properly (Light kept flashing after being reset). After a second service call for this, the ace controller was replaced. About a week after this, my ace controller went bad again? I'm very frustrated, considering the price of the unit I would have expected better quality!
I would love this tub if it kept working correctly, it is comfortable, the jets are great, it stays at proper temp and is very easy to use.
I'm not sure I could recommend this tub.

Purchased a Vista brand new in 2004- frequent problems since

We have averaged about two services call per year since we've owned this tub. The first five years all service was covered under warranty.
During that time, the heater has been placed six times, the heater control three times, and numerous other things. In fact, I have a habit of looking out on the deck just to see (almost expecting# if the red powewr/ready light is blinking #which indicates a problem#. Also with five filters-that gets pricey.
Today the service man was out again #after waiting a week for service), and I was told the main control unit was bad and we'll have another in about three weeks.
I have finally had it. I contact a dealer and am trading this $11,000+ lemon in for a Sundance tub.
Good gosh, save yourself grief and save your money!
I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MODEL!

The best thing that I ever did!

This is the BEST tub that I have evered owned! Our water in Amarillo is very hard and we have had no problem maintaining the water! Plus we have the salt water system - no more chlorine! Our skin is so soft when we get out! The the best thing is being able to appreciate the stars at night ! Breath taking!!

everything is great but cheap lights

Love my Vista hot tub so much i use it almost everyday. Well built and easy to maintain.My only complaint is in the year i have owned it I have had all the bar top lights replaced once and they are all failed again. Seems to me the lights are cheaply built.

Ace system a joke

I purchashed this tub in December , 2011. It has everything you can put on the Vista model and everything works great with the exception of the Ace system it hasn't worked from day one. In the last 10 months I see our tub repair man at least weekly with problems with the Ace system he is begining to seem like family (I see him more than my sons). I am about to give up on Hot Springs and look for a different brand. The Ace system is the main reason I bought a Hot Springs tub but it has been nothing but problems. The dealer Brandon, has bent over backwards to fix the problem but nothing has worked. I have spent a couple of hundred dollars testing my water and we even filled it with soft water, but nothing has worked. We still have to clean the cell every 2 days to keep it working-- hopefully you guys come up with something better soon.

2012 Vista Hot tub 3 month review

The first month the spa was great, used it daily! the only cosmetic issue is the skimmer crooked by 1/4 inch. Not a big deal, but noticeable. Unfortunately, the underwater light stopped working. I called the dealer and asked for a return call when the techician returned. 3 weeks later.. no return call. Called again, they said they were busy but would put me on the list. Now no lights are working. Powered off the spa and powered on. Some lights worked again but not all. 1 week later, the foot jets stopped working. I like the spa, but we may have a lemon. Wish it were trouble free.

We have had numerous problems with this product thus far. While our service dealer has fixed them, I would have expected a $11,000 purchase not experience so many quality issues in the first 5 MONTHS of ownership. At this point I am ready to return the unit and request my money back or a new unit. Sad but true. We were really looking forward to years of happiness and soaking....
Water maintenance has been difficult, two plumbing parts have broken requiring me to refill the tub (500 gal of water in my landscaping around the tub as it all leaked out), which isn't free. Just one thing after another.

We are finally taking some time to relax and enjoy our evening. After working a long day and then rushing around to get the kids home from daycare and fed, It helps knowing our Vista is ready and waiting. It gives us something to look forward to in the evenings. I don't think we will ever live without a spa again.

Its OK, but not for Price

I purchased new in 2006. No major problems, and our local service was great, but many of the parts are now failing after 5 years. For the price I must assume there is a better product, but I cant tell you where. Overall, the product is ok, but the number of jets seems limited, the moto-massage always breaks down, the jet holders break or fall off, etc.
The shell seems fine, and the motors seem powerful enough. A decent product, but I assume there is better one out there.

This is the first spa that we've owned. We have several issues with it.
First is the cost. Of course it was expensive to buy, but it's also expensive to keep heated and maintain.
Second, we've had difficulty keeping the temperature reasonable for use during the summer months. The cover allows the water temp to soar in the heat. Several times we tried to use it but 111* was too hot even though the temp was set to 90*.
Third, we've had issues with the quality of the product. Stainless screws behind the headrests have rusted, the screws holding the main inspection panel don't seem to work well and the small, plastic line connecting the ace system to the filters has become gummy and deteriorated. Additionally, the bottoms of the outside cover panels are not sealed and we had a problem with ants. I sealed the areas with caulk and the problem stopped.
Our fourth problem concerns the dealer. After sale and delivery American Sale seemingly couldn't be bothered with us. Issues requiring on site help incurred a surcherge (something that was NOT explained to us at the time of sale) and of the 2 technicians who came out, I would only deem 1 as qualified.
Other than these issues, we love our spa.

Proud owners of the HotSprings Vista. Nothing comparable on the market in our opinion. Easy maintenance and the salt water technology is the only way to go!
Cup holder design could use an improvement.

Second thoughts

Initially, we loved it. We chose the salt-water system because we were told that maintainence wa so much easier, However, after awhile we starting to have issues withregulating the water care system. I was driving to the dealer weekly then tried the customer service way. The dealer was very helpful but 40 minutes away. The on line customer service is bad. In one email I stated I wish I could give the tub back and got no response. When working properly it's great. But don't look to get alot of customer service help, and hopefully your dealer is close.
